News from the Library for 6/15/09

Did you know we have lots of videos that you can check out for two weeks at a time?  And that you can check out up to 5 videos at a time?  We’ve added some new titles recently, including Slum Millionaire, Mama Mia, Bedtime Stories, Night at the Museum, Revolution, 27 Dresses, Made of Honor.  If the movie you’ve been waiting to see is not available, ask, and we can reserve it for you.

Coming events at the library include:

• Summer Reading Program will be held on Wednesdays, from 10:15 to 10:45 for preschool through 2^nd grades, and from 11:00 to 12:00 for 3^rd through 6^th grades.  The dates are June 10, 17, 24, and July 1, 8, and 15.  Our theme this year will be Mad (but Creative and Brilliant) Scientists!
• Tuesday, June 16--Avid Reader Club Party from 6:30 to 7:00 (by invitation only!)
• Saturday, June 20—Brighton Library Book Club, discussing Greg Mortenson’s Three Cups of Tea beginning at 9:30
• Tuesday, June 30—Miss June’s Happy Birthday Party, from 3:00 to 4:00.  For kids of all ages, in memory of Mrs. June Ganter.
• Sunday, August 9—Back-to-School Extravaganza, from 2:00 to 3:30. 

Be sure to come in and see our Patriotic quilt.  We will be happy to sell you a raffle ticket so you can be the lucky winner on July 2!
