News for the Library for 11/13/2008
Come one, come all! The Brighton Library will be hosting our first annual Christmas Open House on Sunday, November 30, 2008, from 2 to 4 pm. We will have a variety of games & activities, refreshments, a visit with Santa Claus, and, of course, a story teller. It will also give us an opportunity to show off the latest improvements we’ve made at the library!
Other library activities coming up include the After School Homework Center, which is from 3:30 to 5:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays when school is in session; the Brighton Library Book Club meeting on Saturday, November 22 at 9:30 am; Family Reading Night at Brighton North Elementary on Thursday, November 13, with supper being served beginning at 5 pm; Family Reading Night at Medora Elementary School on Thursday, November 13 at 6:30 pm; Family Reading Night at Shipman Elementary on Thursday, November 20 at 6:30 pm.
We want to extend a very warm and grateful thank you to Wayne Watson, Andy & Lisa Johnson, Chris Dawdy, Chris Kelly, Troy & Erin Martin, Darric Taul, Jim & Carolyn Kelly, Don & Meridel Buscher, and Mike Southcombe for their part in obtaining and installing the new library shelving. If you haven’t seen it yet, you will be amazed at the change it makes in the library! “Wow” has been a frequent comment from our patrons!
Thanks to Tim Archer, Sandra Poole, Billie Laubscher, Pat Laubscher, and Jennifer Reedy for their generous donations to the library.
